The Burrage Mansion holds weekly enrichment workshops for kids from various child-serving nonprofits. The workshops are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during after-school hours.
Each child selects his or her top three workshop choices, and gets assigned to one workshop that meets for five weeks. Volunteers from the Redlands community create workshops for the kids based off of their experiences and areas of expertise.
“The idea is that by the end of the five weeks, the kids will have learned something that they will know how to do in the future,” said Ellen Timothy, executive director of the Rochford Foundation and the Burrage Mansion.
